Tubular Skylights
Committed to achieving energy performance in our products and energy savings for our customers, Natural Light has developed a new state of the art design for the 10, 13 and 18 tubular skylight models. The new design incorporates thin clear polycarbonate layers installed in the lower end of the light pipe.
These additional thin, clear polycarbonate layers improve the U-factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient such that the new models are Energy Star Qualified in all climate zones and meet the new standards to be eligible for up to $1,500 Federal Tax Credit. In order to qualify for tax credits as defined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, the Natural Light Tubular Skylight products must have been placed in service on June 1, 2009 through December 31, 2010 and have a solar heat gain coefficient and U-factor less than or equal to 0.30. In addition, the products must have been properly installed meeting all applicable building, electrical and fire codes.
To assist with claiming a tax credit, Natural Light has provided a Statement of Certification for homeowners. Please download and complete the form and keep it with your tax records. The Statement of Certification is not required to be filed with the tax forms, but income tax regulations require taxpayers to have appropriate documentation to qualify for a tax credit.

ENERGY STARฎ Qualified and NFRC Certified
Committed to producing superior, energy saving products, Natural Light added a new breakthrough Energy Conservation Kit to the already highly energy efficient Tubular Skylights. The addition of this kit improves the U-factor and Solar Heat Coefficient such that the 10", 13" and 18" residential models are ENERGY STARฎ qualified in all climate zones in all 50 states. NFRC (National Fenestration Rating Council) has rated the energy performance of the Natural Light Tubular Skylights at .026 for the U-Factor and 0.23 for the Solar Heat Gain Coefficient.
Eligible for 30% Federal Tax Credit
Recently, the Federal Government set forth new stricter standards in order for products to qualify for tax credits. Natural Light residential tubular skylights meet and exceed these new specifications and qualify for a 30% tax credit as defined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. ICC-ES evaluates building products and materials to determine whether they meet the requirements in the building and other related codes. Natural Light Tubular Skylights have been tested by professionally licensed civil, structural, fire, mechanical and quality control engineers and is ICC-ES Listed.
