Description
The Ronk PWRS-2R-150 POWRSOFT® Rotary Soft-start Controller is designed to soft start Ronk rotary phase converters. By reducing the normal starting inrush on the single-phase line by up to 50%, larger rotary converters may be used on utility single phase lines for irrigation systems and other loads when three phase is not available.
The POWRSOFT is a specialized soft starter designed to reduce the inrush on the 1Ø utility lines for RONK rotary phase converters. By reducing inrush currents and minimizing mechanical and electrical stress on the system, POWRSOFT enhances the longevity and efficiency of phase conversion applications.
This unit works exclusively with RONK rotary phase converters, providing a controlled ramp-up of power to ensure smoother motor operation. While it does not directly affect the load equipment, POWRSOFT helps improve the reliability of power conversion by reducing voltage fluctuations and electrical disturbances during startup.
