ASCO 185 Series 2-Wire Start Single Phase Automatic Transfer Switches
The ASCO 185 Series 2-Wire Start Single Phase Automatic Transfer Switches offer two different enclosures. NEMA 1 enclosure for indoor mounting and NEMA 3R enclosure for outdoor mounting. They are compatible with all 2-wire start systems from all manufacturers.
Residential / Light Commercial Asco 185 Series switch monitors incoming utility power, when utility power fails it starts the generator and transfer the emergency load onto the generator. After the utility power is restored it will transfer the load back to the utility source and allow operation of the generator to cool down the generator and then return to a standby mode. The ATS has an exercise circuit that that can be set to test the generator system weekly. The automatic test feature can be set under load or under no load.
